The Holocaust is really important to learn about, and I certainly believe that as well. But, the Holocaust isn't the only thing we need to learn about to understand it. We also need to know what happened before. Like, how did they realize that their lives would change forever? Always in the blue, let's ask -

Mathei Jackel was walking home from school one day, and he first realized something was wrong, when old friends, as well as older boys who had never given him a problem, asked him to join them in a muddy pond, but instead said nasty things to him, and dunked him under the water, and kicked and scratched him. Poor 7 year old Mathei. Obviously he knew something was up.
